This application note discusses various analytical methods for quantifying per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFASs) in water and the effects these compounds can have on the environment and human health. The application note demonstrates how measuring adsorbable organic fluorine (AOF) is simpler and faster than targeted analysis methods, and also more sensitive than total fluorine (TF) determination.
