Myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG or Siglec-4a) is an adhesion molecule in postnatal neural development that mediates sialic-acid dependent cell-cell interactions between neuronal and myelinating cells. MAG preferentially binds to alpha-2,3-linked sialic acid.
