♪ [music] ♪ My name is Corbin Occhino. I am a senior scientist at Tyra Biosciences in the Compound Management Group. We process small molecule compounds that come in from external CROs to prep the samples for different cell biology work, internal and external.
So, we use Mosaic as our inventory software, where we track compound usage as well as the locations in our storage unit, which makes it really easy for people in our group, both within compound management and in the different cell biology groups to locate samples easily. Mosaic has been really great streamlining our processes at Tyra. One of the best things Mosaic has done for us is make it easier to find samples, which sounds really easy, but as your compound library grows into the thousands, it's actually very difficult for the average person to find the samples if you're not familiar with the different inventory softwares out there.
Mosaic makes it really easy with the pictorial representation of the boxes and freezer shelves, which makes it really nice to find samples. Another thing that Mosaic has done for us is integrate with our different systems as far as our registration software has been very nice so we don't have to manually transfer new registered compounds. It's Mosaic to make substances.
It also integrates with our balance and our label maker, which is very nice for tracking usage and lineage, and audit trails, as well as reducing the time users have to spend creating labels for each sample. It just prints out the label you need automatically, and it just makes it really easy. The implementation of Mosaic was extremely simple. We have a basic version of the software right now, so it was pretty much out of the box.
It did what we need it to do. The integration with our different systems was also out of the box, so it was very simple. Working with them has been great with their different software engineers. They reduced the burden on our group for a lot of the configuration, so it was very simple. Anyone can do it.
The future of our work, especially with Mosaic, is going to grow with our company. One of the reasons we picked Mosaic is because how robust it is as your company gets bigger and you use more automation and different liquid handling robots. It's not something we're at right now at Tyra, but our eye to the future as we grow is to implement those which will increase our throughput, it'll reduce man hours doing more tedious manual pipetting jobs and having Mosaic drive all of that, will make it really easy for us to grow.
