The digital lab by design
Thursday, December 4 at 16:00 GMT | 17:00 CET | 11:00 EST | 08:00 PST
Precision oncology has reshaped cancer care through personalized treatment. Navignostics is advancing this approach by taking data from patient-specific tumor profiling and their response to treatment, to feed into an AI-powered patient matching engine with the aim to help clinicians make faster and more informed treatment decisions.
To bring this vision to life, Navignostics adopted a digital-first strategy, seeking a lab informatics platform that could deliver standardization, reproducibility, and automation from day one. Discover in this webinar why Navignostics chose the Sapio Sciences’ integrated LIMS and ELN system and how it supported its requirements for regulatory compliance, scalability and gave the flexibility for cutting-edge oncology research.
In this session, hear directly from Federico Lionetti, BioMedical Software Engineer at Navignostics AG, and Dr. Rob Brown, Global VP and Head of the Scientific Office at Sapio Sciences. Together, they will explore how a 'digital lab by design' bridges research and clinical insights, delivering efficiency, compliance, and innovation that redefines what is possible in modern diagnostics.
Key learning objectives:
- Discover how a digital-first lab architecture streamlines diagnostics, sample management, and data flow for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Gain practical insights into using AI and automation to enhance decision-making and accelerate research-to-clinic timelines.
- Explore how Sapio Sciences’ unified LIMS and ELN platform ensures compliance, collaboration, and end-to-end traceability.
- Have a first look at ELaiN, the intelligent assistant that enables intuitive, AI-powered interaction with lab data.
Who should attend?
- Scientists, lab managers, IT, clinical labs and R&D leaders.

Speakers

Federico Lionetti is a biomedical engineer and software developer at Navignostics, leading software development for medical devices, data pipelines, and core systems like LIMS and the Clinical Portal. His work spans automation, image analysis, and cloud infrastructure, bridging engineering and software to drive innovation in digital health and precision oncology.

Dr. Rob Brown received his PhD in Cheminformatics from the University of Sheffield, UK. He then started his career as a postdoc and later, a research scientist in the Computer Aided Molecular Design department at Abbott Laboratories (Abbvie). Following this, Dr. Brown spent eight years at Dotmatics where he held various positions including Head of Global Presales and Head of Product Marketing & Product Management, before moving into his current position as the Global VP and Head of Scientific Office at Sapio Sciences.
