Use of high-resolution ion mobility for PFAS isomer separation

31 Jan 2023

Due to growing concern over their toxicological significance, analytical methods for PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substance) are continuing to evolve. Targeted methods have historically been utilized with liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) the predominate combination used. In this application note, MOBILion Systems demonstrates the combination of liquid chromatography (LC), high-resolution ion mobility (HRIM), and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) for PFAS analysis.

MOBILion Systems

MOBILion Systems is disrupting the separations game, enhancing the way we characterize biotherapeutics and identify biomarkers. Leveraging a 13-meter ion mobility path length to provide deeper level characterization without compromising time, our best-in-class SLIM-based High-Resolution Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry (HRIM-MS) platforms separate and identify molecules that current platforms fail to detect with faster analysis and simpler workflows.
