NanoPro<sup>™</sup> Assay: Asparagine Synthetase (ASNS)

The following application note analyses the expression of asparagine synthetase (ASNS) in OVCAR-8, ovarian adenocarcinoma, cells using an immunoassay platform. Expression was analysed with no treatment, L-asparaginase or ASNS siRNA treatment. Asparagine synthetase (ASNS) expression has previously been found to be correlated with L-asparaginase efficacy in a number of cancer cell lines. Silencing ASNS expression by RNAi has indicated the L-asparaginase/ASNS relationship is causal and suggests that ASNS expression may be useful as a predictive clinical biomarker of L-asparaginase efficacy.
