Milk extract analyzed by LCMS

22 Mar 2022

Milk components are polar compounds that are not well retained or resolved by traditional Reversed Phase Chromatography. In addition, many of the compounds do not contain strong chromophores, resulting in low specificity and sensitivity in UV detection. The analysis using the Cogent Diamond Hydride Column and MS detection provides separation and detection of all the compounds of interest. In this application note, The Diamond Hydride Column is able to analyze polar compounds in biological matrices

Cogent Diamond Hydride™ HPLC Columns

MicroSolv Technology Corp.

Cogent Diamond Hydride HPLC Columns are manufactured with TYPE-C™ silica (silica hydride) and a very small amount of carbon on the surface that adjusts the column hydrophobicity to an important level. This makes these columns have unique separation capabilities for scientists working in LCMS, metabolomics, bioanalytical, amino acids, organic acids, carbohydrates, and very polar small molecules.
