Conducting Ligand-Gated Ion Channel (LGIC) Studies on the PatchXpress 7000A System

14 Jul 2011

In this application note two ligand-gated ion channels, g-aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) receptor and acid-sensing ion channels (ASICs), were used to evaluate the feasibility of using the PatchXpress 7000A system to study ligand-gated ion channels. ASICs have been suggested to play an important role in the physiology and pathology of sensory transmission, behavioral memory, retinal function, epileptogenesis and ischemia.
