Bacteria in Action: Direct Observation and Measurement of Bacterial Swarm Migration

This application note highlights a method for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of bacterial swarming. Using the Carestream In-Vivo MS FX PRO imaging system has been shown to provide a novel and powerful capacity to add quantitative measurements to the more common qualitative analysis, allowing researchers to further explore the swarming behaviour of various microbial systems.
