Automating the Dropping Process to Generate Quality Metaphase Spreads in Preparation for Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH)

30 Jun 2012

A novel method for a consistent automated cell dropping method as an advancement to a manual process is described in this application note. The technology is designed to produce quality metaphase spreads prior to FISH, with dispense volumes in the range of 10-4.0 nL. The BioDot AD1500 configured with the BioJet Plus™ technology was used to evaluate the automation and also enables high throughput multiplexing techniques.
