Automated Quantitative Real Time PCR Set-Up Using the CyBi®-8plus1

The CyBi®-8plus1 is a flexible 8-channel pipettor with an additional 1-channel pipetting tool. The device is specially designed for automating liquid handling and sample processing for life science applications. This application note demonstrates the pipettor CyBi®-8plus1 being used for an automated quantitative Real Time PCR reaction set-up, including the transfer of all needed components and volumes from different single tubes into a PCR microplate. The reproducibility of data and the possibility to exclude the confusion of samples are excellent criteria for automating several liquid handling tasks in molecular biology applications.
