4mm Syringe Filters are used when the sample size is under 1mL, and residual volume must be minimized. Available in many different membrane types. 

One of the best all-around filters for HPLC, LCMS and ICPMS. The low protein binding characteristics make these ideal when the sample size is very small, and recovery of sample is required.
