Starlab's TipOne Pipette Tips offer good value for money for end users as the previous brand the laboratory used was a lot more expensive. By swapping over, the laboratory was able to make savings on costs that could be used elsewhere. Their tips are universal and compatible with all the different brands of pipettes found in the labs. When Starlab initially approached the lab to offer their TipOne tip alternatives, they were very helpful, friendly and engaging in providing samples for staff to try out and to run demonstrations and show the quality of their tips. The added benefit of being able to recycle the tip holders, boxes and packaging makes it a bonus for the lab's sustainability policy.

Die Pipettenspitzen von StarLab TipOne® Pipette Tips Filter System halten sehr gut auf den Pipetten, können aufgrund ihrer Länge im Vergleich zu anderen Herstellern auch in 15ml Falcons verwendet werden und haben eine gute gleichbleibende Qualität. Darüber hinaus finde ich auch das angebotene Recyclingsystem für die Nachfüllungen ansprechend, was uns auch dazu veranlasst, bei der Bestellung zuerst auf StarLab zurückzugreifen. Preislich gesehen sind diese Spitzen auch besonders günstig, wenn man direkt die Großpackung bestellt. Die eingesparten Kosten des Umpackens werden an uns Kunden weitergegeben. Ansonsten sind sie meist teurer als ihre Konkurrenten. The pipette tips from StarLab TipOne® Pipette Tips Filter System hold very well on the pipettes, can also be used in 15ml Falcons due to their length compared to other manufacturers, and have good consistent quality. In addition, I also find the recycling system offered for the refills appealing, which also makes us fall back on StarLab first when ordering. In terms of price, these tips are also particularly profitable if you order the bulk pack directly. The saved costs of the repackaging are passed on to us customers. Otherwise, they are usually more expensive than their competitors.

Top tips for laboratory success: The TipOne pipette tip system
In this application note, Starlab introduces the eco-friendly TipOne® pipette tip system. This system is designed with reusability, refillability, and recyclability in mind. Its interchangeable parts and durable racks can be reused multiple times without compromising stability or shape, even after autoclaving. TipOne refills, whether sterile or non-sterile, use fewer raw materials during manufacturing compared to traditional racked tips, resulting in reduced resource consumption and lower CO2 emissions in production and delivery. Furthermore, the system's compact design helps save storage space in the laboratory. Starlab also highlights that nearly all components of the TipOne system are made from easily recyclable pure polypropylene (PP), simplifying the recycling process by eliminating the need for material separation.

Comparative Investigations on the Blocking Efficiency of Filter Tips
The blocking efficiency of Filter Tips is investigated using airborne particles. Filter tips mounted in air-displacement pipettes are used to prevent potential contamination of the pipette cones by e.g. DNA fragments. More effective filters lower the risk of contamination. This is of utmost importance for preventing false-positive results, especially in highly sensitive PCR experiments. In this investigation Starlab TipOne 200 μl filter tips have been compared with those of nine other manufacturers.
