StarBright™ Blue 700 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, 400 µl by Bio-Rad

Use StarBright Blue 700 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG for ultra-sensitive detection of proteins in fluorescence western blotting. This secondary antibody is ideal for use in multiplex blotting, eliminating the need for stripping and reprobing, or cutting blots. StarBright Blue 700 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG is optimized for use with the ChemiDoc™ MP Imaging System, permitting detection of up to three proteins in a single blot.

The StarBright Fluorophore is composed of multiple monomers that each absorb and emit light, giving a higher quantum yield than other fluorophores and creating a very strong signal. Additionally, the large separation between Ex_max and Em_max (470/700 nm) results in minimal spectral overlap between emission and excitation wavelengths.

Features and Benefits

• Easy multiplexing — can be used with IRDye 800 Antibodies or other common fluorophores to detect multiple proteins on the same blot
• Shorter exposure time — the exceptional brightness of the StarBright Fluorophore leads to exposure times orders of magnitude lower than traditional fluorescent dyes: seconds vs. minutes
• High signal-to-noise ratio — emits in the infrared range of the spectrum, where there is minimal background (excitation/emission: 470/700 nm)
• Low nonspecific binding — conjugated to highly cross-adsorbed antibodies

StarBright Blue 700 Secondary Antibodies can be used for multiplex fluorescent western blotting with the right combination of fluorophores. These fluorescent secondary antibodies can also be used to detect post-translational modifications like phosphorylation of a target protein.

Note: StarBright Antibodies are not suitable for stripping and reprobing.
