RNA isolation from yeast and plant tissues
The RNeasy Mini Kit provides tremendous value for the experiments that we perform in the laboratory. We use a hybrid method (Trizol-Qiagen columns) to isolate RNA in the lab. We use cryotubes with glass beads to isolate RNA from yeast and glass beads/steel balls to isolate RNA from plants. That isolated RNA is then purified using the RNeasy Mini Kit. High quality RNA results from thousands of samples.

Purification of total RNA from cells, tissues, and yeast
The kit is very easy to use, doesn't require other reagents additional, and is very fast, in around one hour you could get your RNA isolate, the lab equipment used it's only a centrifuge, the concentration is good, and the integrity of the sample makes it worth every penny of the kit price. It is wonderful not to have to prepare more reagents to isolate RNA, In eight simple steps, you can already have your RNA. The extraction of RNA can often be a headache, and prolonged exposure to solvents used in RNA extraction can be detrimental to health, use of this kit definitely minimizes exposure to these solvents, and avoids handling errors and any student with basic training can get very good results. The results of this protocol are highly reproducible.

Extract total RNA from harvested insulin sensitive cells
This kit is designed for extracting the total RNA from my cells of interest. This is enabling reproducible recovery of high-quality RNA that is suitable for a broad range of applications such as quantification of RNA. It is user friendly. The protocol is very clear. I got good reproducible results with good concentrations of extracted RNA without any contamination. Overall grade is good. Good value for the money as well.
