Very convenient system for multiple samples processing
Analyze bacteria in mouse organs
Very easy to use system for very reliable results using only a small bench space. You can process 24 samples in a few seconds. We use it to analyse bacterial contents of organs in mice infected with different bacterial strains. The only not too good point is the price of the consumable: tubes are expensive.

We have optimized protocols for most of our tissues, but have two more to optimize. So far, we’ve received great RIN quality and more reproducible results with mouse tissue than ever before in our lab. Each tissue type needs optimization, this is very easy to do and the machine is quite user friendly. Customer and tech support have been super supportive and help with any questions I have.

Precellys® 24 Touch is the ideal lab instrument to homogenize any kind of biological sample, from the softest to the hardest, regardless of its origin (animal tissues, plant tissues, microorganisms…). It can treat up to 24 samples at a time and has been validated on more than 1,500 different samples: from brain, muscle and heart samples, to very hard material such as bones, hair and seeds.
The intuitive touchscreen interface of Precellys® 24 Touch makes it really easy to use. Thanks to its exclusive vacuum-based tube locking system and its specific design, Precellys® 24 Touch is compliant with safety requirements of the harshest lab environments, such as BSL3.
With its powerful 3D movement, Precellys® 24 Touch provides high energy to the beads contained in the tubes, allowing the homogenization of the samples in a few seconds (~30 sec) at speeds ranging from 4500 to 6800 rpm. Samples can then be processed for further analysis amongst a wide variety of techniques dedicated to DNA/RNA (PCR, electrophoresis, NGS, chips, etc), protein (blotting, mass spectrometry, etc.), or metabolites analyses (chromatography, etc.)
Introducing Precellys: A tool for nano-milling poorly water-soluble API
In this application note, Bertin Technologies validates the use of Precellys® 24 with Cryolys for nano sizing of poorly water-soluble drugs using different milling protocols. The study was performed using different parameters such as bead diameter, bead concentration, and material. The study showed that the Precellys with Cryolys represents a new technology for drug nano-milling that can be utilized in early discovery and preclinical research.
DNA human identification from bone fragments using the Precellys 24 Touch
Bone fragment is the most common sample used for DNA human identification from carbonized bodies or corpses, where other organic material is lacking.
