Great incubator and highly recommended. Will give many years of trouble free use.

"This is as expected a high specification German engineered piece of equipment. It is not the cheapest cooled incubator, but you pay for what you get. The controls are reasonably intuitive but could be made a little easier. The instructions explain well what you cannot figure out yourself. The Peltier cooling makes it very cheap to run and also very quiet. On both counts far better than competitors so initial outlay may well be offset by running costs. We have had several of these machines and they have all proved very reliable and very accurate. They can be set to 0.1c and any drift during operation is minor tending to be well within +/- 0.5c. They have two fans so temperature distribution during running is very even. The two fans also help in use as one can fail and it will still operate satisfactorily. Spare replacement fans are easily fitted and are not normally necessary for many years use. They are also not especially expensive. I am glad to say the newer models have a better door lock than previous Memmert Incubators which were overly complex and probably the least reliable component. The programming is a little bit time consuming but once set up it performs well and can ramp through different temperatures including down to refrigeration temperatures. Good support from supplier. In summary good solid engineering capable of giving many years of trouble free use to fairly tight tolerances."

Excellent controllability, extremely small control fluctuations, low-vibration operation and impressive energy savings provide the added value from this perfect adaptation of Peltier technology. With its extensive range of appliances with Peltier elements for heating and cooling – such as the IPP Peltier-cooled incubator, the HPP constant climate chamber, the IPS cooled storage incubator and the Peltier-cooling unit for waterbaths – Memmert is market leader in this technologically sophisticated segment.

The IPP Peltier-cooled incubator offers minimum energy consumption with maximum benefit to the environment, as in contrast to compressor technology, energy is only required when you need to heat or cool down. The working chamber of the IPP is completely sealed off from the environment.

The advantages for you:

  • Temperature range 0°C. up to + 70°C.
  • 7 model sizes (32 to 1060 litres volume)
  • 2 model variants: SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY
  • Double doors standard for all models:
  • Prevention of contamination and drops in temperature, and at the same time an optimum view of the sensitive load through wide-area interior glass doors.
  • Fans integrated in the Peltier elements ensure rapid energy transfer and optimum temperature distribution.

Another valuable bonus:

Since the IPP cooled incubator does not need a compressor, it saves space in the laboratory. If you just want to store microbiological samples, specifically over long periods and at constant temperatures, we recommend our IPS cooled storage incubators. For large volumes in conjunction with rapid temperature changes, the Memmert ICP compressor-cooled incubator is recommended.

A Memmert cooled incubator offers unique advantages:

  • Minimal risk of the sample drying out, and
  • Condensation formation during the cooling down process takes place outside the working chamber on the Peltier element.
    • Intuitive and easy-to-use operating menu
    • Almost exclusive use of high-quality, corrosion-resistant and easily cleanable stainless steel for the working chamber and housing
    • Heating concept specifically adapted for a precise and homogenous temperature control
    • A wide range of options for programming and documentation using interfaces, integrated data logger and Software AtmoCONTROL
    • 3 years guarantee worldwide
