The MBT Biotarget 96 makes sample spotting easy and helps avoid cross-contamination featuring Bruker’s AnchorChip™ technology – a hydrophobic coating around hydrophilic sample positions. This design concentrates liquids on the spots, preventing bleeding to neighboring areas. The blue surface color provides an instant visualization of previously used dried spots. The 96-sample format provides full flexibility in run sizes. Because the plates are perfectly even, calibration can be applied anywhere on the target, ensuring all spots are usable regardless of the individual sample run length. The unique target barcode helps keep track of your samples with full traceability. 
As disposable targets, the MBT Biotargets enhance lab efficiency by eliminating the time-consuming process of cleaning reusable targets and managing cleaning supplies. Thanks to the robustness of MBT Biotar-gets, easy and safe handling is ensured.

The MBT Biotarget is the universal solution for all sample types – even difficult ones. The Mycelium Transfer (MyT) procedure for identifying filamentous fungi involves depositing mycelium on a spot of the MBT Biotarget. The surface texture of the MBT Biotarget 96 is designed to ensure intense homogenization and effective cell disruption of biological material on the MALDI target. This results in the release of larger amounts of proteins for MALDI-TOF analysis, contributing to a higher success rate in the identification of the microbial sample.
