Great hood!
Transfer flask with chemical reaction ongoing.
Service from the representative was fantastic. I received the complete analysis of my experimental work and needed approval from the scientific team prior to purchasing the hood. So I feel safe using the hood for the applications in my research lab. When I received the hood, it was easy to set up. The hood is also very easy to use. I would recommend purchasing the stand to support the hood.

Love it!
College Chemistry Lab
A significant upgrade from fume hood with ducts, as they make the lab much colder in the winters and waste electricity. Easy to use, great value for money, and easy maintenance.

Very easy to use
Analysis of samples, for example digestion of protein samples
It is very effective when I'm working on a protein sample I don't get choked by the Sulphuric acid which makes the fumehood a great equipment to use. It is very easy to use and definitely value for one's money. I highly recommend for scientists who may be working with substances to use the fumehood.

Works perfectly for this application.
Weighing chemical standards/samples
System works well. Had issues with electrical glitches which seemed to be tied to power outages. Their tech support was outstanding and helped replace multiple parts until the problem was resolved.

Ductless fume hoods to the rescue! Amazing equipment, proven results.
Handling specimens in formalin and cover-slipping slides using xylene
We purchased 2 of the Captair ductless fume hoods. One used specifically for handling specimens in formalin and one for cover-slipping slides in xylene and clear Rite. We did not have an option to put in a vented fume hood due to the lab not being on an outside wall. We previously had just a fume absorber for cover-slipping but the carbon filter was oversaturated and causing off gassing of xylene... making the levels even worse in the lab. Before getting the units, our exposure levels were over the short term exposure rate and the smell was awful causing staff to have headaches. We have had them in place now for 9 months and are extremely happy with them. There is no smell of formalin or xylene in the air. We retested our exposure rates for formalin and xylene and they were almost almost ZERO! These units are working beyond my expectations! There is little maintenance needed, filters changed out yearly depending on the chemical levels you are using (Erlab will run an analysis on the chemicals you use and frequency) and we wipe down the inside of the hood once a week. I have had to call a few times to get some support help from Erlab when the fume hood alarm was going off...(hood just needed calibration) and they have been great at walking you through the steps to reset or calibrate. Erlab really cares about the safety of consumers and making sure their product is excellent. They have excellent customer service and a great product!

Great fumehood and even better customer service.
Cannabis testing
This product came out of the box ready to go, there were some hiccups with our assembly due to our negligence but the representatives response with how to fix our issues was swift and greatly appreciated. We have not had any issues with this product.

Good overall
Production line for food product
The sash is flippable, which is great for some application but can be a problem for our application. Browser application is bit buggy. Bench arrived with small dent and few screw stripped. Quality and quantity of carbon filters will assure the user protection. Overall, it is a good product for the cost.

Weighing in a Filtered Fume Hood?
This white paper shows that accurate weighing results can be attained when choosing the proper combination of a balance within the appropriate ductless filtering fume hood. Weighing requires accuracy, especially when the readability of a balance reaches 0,01mg or more. In many applications the samples being weighed might be harmful or dangerous for the operator to inhale and the use of a filtered fume hood is required for the protection of the laboratory personnel. When using a hood, air flow, drafts, and vibrations can adversely affect the weighing performance of a balance and eventually cause errors to the measurement.
