We use our Dimension EXL and I love the ease of use, the simplicity of maintenance and calibrations along with troubleshooting. During the pandemic things had issues like the IMT system and reagent accessibility.

Clinical Laboratory
I have been a user of the Dimension Series since they first arrived as a Dupont Dimension. The EXL has adapted with the times to become the best solution for small to mid-size labs. Most complaints I hear can be easily solved with better maintenance and care. As someone on both sides of the fence, I have personal experience with it. I spent 7 years as a Technical Rep and returned as a customer/user in 2015 and still believe even more now that I did before. The chemistry assays are comprehensive and the Immunoassay assays are fast and the LOCI methods are fast and rock solid since they require no washing steps to introduce error into the samples. Since there is no truly daily maint., just empty cuvette waste and perform system check and then users can perform QC. The other maintenance is very simple and performed in small groups to keep downtime to a min. Cuvette window cleaning is the longest and probably most challenging to most users, but if trained properly, can be performed easily with a little practice. Online Training through the PEP website is a great tool to get new users familiarized with the software and features. The Customer Service Engineers are the ones you will see the most. They can tell you the best ways to handle most customer issues. The main problem I have had through the life of the Dimension is the Top Seal that closes the cuvette after testing is completed and being disposed of in the on-board waste can. Be sure to empty so it doesn't back up into the exit path and get tangled up. Most of my instruments have been CPRR and as an experienced Technical Rep, I handle all the ordering at my current lab and have lost very little reagent due to waste. If you can do that, a CPT may be a better value since waste is built into the CPRR. Reagents are compact with mist of the high volume reagents in a small box with 4 flexes for 1000+ tests. Flexes that can be added on the go. Size up to the EXL with LM and it doubles your reagent capacity and that will serve a small to mid size lab easily. All things considered, this analyzer has been in the lab since the Mid 1980's and has adapted very well and I hope to retire before it does,

Great instrument, easy to use and very quick with a high quality results.
Chemistry and immunoassay testing
This instrument is very effective instrument, and very quick. It permits us to get very high-quality test results with a very good reproducibility. Very easy to use, with a simple interface. Contains a standard compartment for chemistry and immunoassay reagents. It has one sample area with a capacity of 60 samples load in each time in 6 segments, it can be loaded with 44 reagents, which permits a very large assay menu (cardiac, diabetes, toxicology, general chemistry, a specific protein,....).
