Automated labware management devices from HighRes Biosolutions provide performance continuity in their respective functional areas including delivering, orienting, placing or disposing microplates and other consumables.

All automation-ready devices are easily integrated with Cellario™ whole lab automation software, and all can be integrated into a fully automated Nucleus® work cell or other robotic system or used as a stand-alone device in concert with the Prime® automated liquid handler or third-party liquid handler. Additionally, all come with our exclusive White Glove QC inspection prior to shipment to ensure smooth installation at your site.


PicoServe™ Benchtop Labware Handler

PicoServe is our smallest automated microplate and tip box delivery system and fits comfortably onto a benchtop or FlexCart™. Any combination of up to four random-access hotels may be easily loaded and removed from the PicoServe.

NanoServe™ Labware Handler

NanoServe is an automated and sequential microplate and tip box delivery system. It stores and rapidly delivers hundreds of microplates and dozens of tip boxes in just over two feet of lab space for medium daily sample throughput processing needs. Any combination of up to four hotels or bulk stackers may be easily loaded and removed, and the stackers are interchangeable with those used on our MicroServe high-density labware handler.

MicroServe™ High-Density Labware Handler

MicroServe is our highest-density automated and sequential microplate and tip box delivery system; storing and rapidly delivering up to 770 microplates or 154 tip boxes. This capacity, automated barcode scanning, and high delivery speed make MicroServe a must-have for ultra-high throughput labs. Any combination of up to fourteen hotels or bulk stackers may be easily loaded and removed, and the stackers are interchangeable with those used on our NanoServe labware handler.

Stationary Plate Hotels 

HighRes Plate Hotels are convenient random-access park positions between active process tools to prevent untimely workflow errors. Uniquely square plate nests enable a choice of landscape or portrait orientation so the robot can simply grab-and-go.

  • Standard pitch offers 8 nest positions with a maximum plate height of 57 mm
  • Gen2 standard pitch offers a maximum plate height of 57 mm
  • Low density pitch offers 4 nest positions with a maximum plate height of 114 mm

LidValet™ High-Speed Lidding & Delidding Hotel

LidValet rapidly removes, holds, and replaces microplate lids while the microplate progresses through the workflow. Highly consistent, pneumatically generated Venturi effect suction eliminates the need for troublesome and variable house vacuum. Configure LidValet as a single or stacked unit depending on desired plate capacity.

LidDiscard™ High-Speed Delid-to-Waste Device

LidDiscard rapidly removes microplate lids, including metal, and moves the lids to a waste receptacle. Lid removal mechanics are based on the Venturi effect which uses pneumatically generated suction instead of troublesome and variable house vacuum. LidDiscard is faster than direct lid manipulation using robotic arms so you can accomplish more ultra-high sample processing throughput in less time.

PlateOrient™ Labware Orientation Device

Simply Seamless Enablement

PlateOrient rotates labware into the specified landscape or portrait position for use in a given automated tool. A wide variety of ANSI/SLAS-compliant labware including microplates, deep-well plates and tube racks may be used. PlateOrient is faster than labware rotations using robotic arms so you can reduce valuable time throughout the workflow.
