Fake solution is been packaged in form of antisera A by Biotec.
Application Area: To find out patient's blood group
"In recent time it was discovered by me that biotec antisera A in the market is not capable of indicating antigen A present on the surface of red blood cells. Then I bought from the diagnostic market recently and it was not able to dictate antigen A when I treated it with 100 samples. When I treated the 100 samples with another antisera A from another company, I was able to obtain 55 antisera A positive. I later did investigative studies on the biotec antisera A and was able to find out that they bottled cupper sulphate solution which has the same colour with the antisera A. When I treated it with a reducing substance ( glucose) in particular I was able to get a brickred precipitate, I concluded that they have bottled cupper sulphate solution (Benedict) in place of antisera A."
RhD status confirmation is possible using two avid monoclonal Anti-D reagents. IgM only for patient sample grouping and IgG + IgM, which will agglutinate most examples of weak, partial, or variant expressions of the D antigen.
