Harvest cells for protein extraction
Great tubes for general use with harvesting large amounts of yeast cells. Tubes come in a nice styrofoam holder that keeps them upright. I really like this as it allows easy access instead of having to dig through a bag. I can also grab a tube and not have to worry about getting anything on it as with digging through a bag.

Great tubes for may uses, and great company
Harvest large quantities of cells for protein extraction & growth assays
These are my lab's go-to tubes for harvesting cells for processes that require large volumes, such as washing cells for growth plate setup, or using a large number of cells for Western blotting. The customer service for Sarstedt is excellent, with prompt responses and polite representatives. The tubes themselves are sturdy and nicely packaged in stand-up "racks" that can be easily fit in a lab drawer, rather than loosely in a bag.

Good for sample preparation for MS
use for sample preparation for mass spectrometry, for the stage tip step.
For mass spectrometry, one of the most important things is tubes that do not contain contaminants (from the plastic material). These tubes give me clean samples. And for the stage tip procedure, when I use the big tip for a large amount, this tube fits perfectly in the swing rotor in our centrifuge.
