Picus 2 Electronic pipettes are easy to use and deliver accurate results, great ergonomics, and flexible features that meet many of our uses in the lab. The biggest issue with the Picus 2 has been the absence of response to our concerns about the design of the P300 tip ejector mechanism, which is shared with Sartorius' Proline pipettes. We have at least 2 P300 multichannel pipettes where the tip ejector is frequently ejected along with the tips. One of our Picus 2 tip ejectors was discarded into a sharps container with the tips, and Sartorius has yet to respond to a contact after over a month.

The pipettes are very easy and intuitive to use. They are essential for accurate dosing of the sample and gas chromatographic standards. With the wide range of volumes available we are able to satisfy all the dosing needs of the laboratory. The dosages are reproducible making the results very reliable. A very handy tool which saves a lot of time when pipetting multiple microplates

I use this pipette when I have to dispense the same reagent into multiple well plates. Picus 2 is very easy to use and saves a lot of stress that's usually put on the wrists with repeated pipetting. This chamber is bounded by the anion membrane facing the cathode and cation membrane facing the anode. Attracted by the charge of their respective electrodes, the ions migrate in a steady stream through the cation- and anion membrane. The negatively-charged anions (e.g., Cl-) are attracted to the anode (+) and repelled by the cathode (-). The concentration of ions in the concentration chamber increases relative to the feed. In the concentrate stream, electrical neutrality is maintained. Transported ions from the two directions, bounded to hydrogen and hydroxyl ions, neutralize one another’s charge. This production and migration of hydrogen and hydroxyl ions is the mechanism that continuously regenerates the resin.
