Sam Guess your tech support staff member is award winning!!!!
titration
What I found is that 800 Dosino autotitrator is nice, yet when if getting drifting results it's quite frustrating to narrow down the possibilities. Thank goodness for Sam Guess, a tech support staff member that makes it all okay!!!

We obtain reproducible results and these systems are core to our business.
Analyze turbidimetric titration using 855 Robotic Titrosampler, and Optrode
I have been using various versions of the Tiamo software for 12 years. I find the software easy to use. I am very happy with the Optrode probes which do give us very reproducible results. On the rare occasion we have need of technical support for our methods/system, I have been very satisfied with the quality of support we have received. These titrators run one of the core methods for our business and I feel they are a good value for the money we spent. To my knowledge, my company has purchased three different instances over the years, whenever upgrades to the existing equipment was required. Since the software core functionality has not changed much over time, it has been very easy to transition to the next iteration of both hardware and software.

A good investment!
Dosing
The DOSINO 800 dispenser works really well, with a 10,000 stepper motor per cylinder volume, its precision and repeatability is very good. The motor is located above the reagent, so if there is a leak, it is not affected. It can be mounted directly on the reagent bottle. I recommend having the moving parts of the burette lightly greased and using a PTFE burette for strongly basic reagents.

A great instrument for metered dosing.
Autodispense metered amounts of solvents for use in aerosol analysis
Although normally used as part of an autotitration setup, we use our instrument in place of a manual or autopipette to dispense metered doses of liquids repeatedly. When doing testing, the added error from the Dosino is minimal and the speed it adds to labwork make it a great tool.

It's good!
Titration of chrome
The pump is great, but the cylinders tend to leak if a slightly caustic reagent is used.

Inline Sample Preparation - Ion Chromatography User Guide
Crystal clear, clinically pure, no bacteria and no particles: this would be an ideal sample for ion chromatography. The real world is often different. Apart from the ions to be determined, the samples contain matrix components which may be aggressive or lead to precipitation in the system. They can sometimes make analysis difficult, if not impossible. Samples with a high load of matrix components can damage the separation column or lead to blockages in the system. That is why suitable sample preparation is essential for reliable and accurate analysis.
Anions in FGD Gypsum According to VGB-M 701e
Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) gypsum is produced in power stations. VGB-M 701e (2008) describes aqueous extraction methods for the ion chromatographic determination of chloride in FDG gypsum. This application note demonstrates VGB sample preparation and how it can be utilized to determine other anions than chloride.
Alpha Acids in Hops: Determination According to EBC 7.4 by Conductometric Titration
In order to achieve the required bitterness at the end of the brewing process, the quantity of hops added must be measured out accurately. This application note presents a solution for the determination of alpha acids in hops according to the European Brewery Convention (EBC 7.4) by conductometric titration.
Anions in 70% Hydrogen Peroxide Applying Inline Matrix Elimination
Hydrogen peroxide is used as cleaning, oxidizing and bleaching medium. Depending on its purity, it may contain inorganic anions as well as organic acid anions, such as oxalate, phthalate, and dipicolinic acid. Dipicolinic acid is a complexing agent that binds transition metal cations and is sometimes added to increase the stability of hydrogen peroxide.
Determination of EDTA, HEDTA and TPA according to EN 13368-1
Complexing agents are used in fertilizers to bind trace nutrients such as cobalt, iron, manganese, etc. EN 13368-1 describes the determination of EDTA, HEDTA, and DTPA. This application note describes the separation of these complexes using an anion-exchange column and detection by UV/VIS.
Trace Determination of Transition Metals with Preconcentration (MiPCT), Post-Column Reaction, and UV/VIS Detection
The analysis of transition metals by ion chromatography is possible with direct conductivity detection (see AN-C-137) as well as with UV/VIS detection after post-column reaction. This application note describes a method for the separation of cations as anionic complexes and their analysis after post-column reaction with PAR and subsequent UV/VIS detection.
Chromate in Dye Samples Using Post-Column Reaction and Subsequent UV/VIS Detection
Chromate (Cr(VI)) is considered toxic and potentially carcinogenic for which reason its concentrations should be as low as possible. In this application note, dye samples are analyzed for trace chromate.
Chromate in Toy Migration Solution According to Directive 2009/48/EC
Chromate (Cr(VI)) is considered toxic and potentially carcinogenic for which reason its concentrations should be as low as possible. EU directive 2009/48/EC defines limits for chromate migrating from toys. This application note ion chromatography method for the determination of chromium (VI) content in toys using preconcentration and Inline Matrix Elimination.
Bethanechol and HPTA (2-Hydroxy-Propyl-Trimethyl Ammonium) besides Sodium and Calcium (Metrosep C 6 - 250/4.0)
Bethanechol is a pharmaceutical compound which is used to treat urinary retention. This application note describes the determination of this by cation chromatography with direct conductivity detection. Results demonstrate that bethanechol is well separated from its degradation product 2-hydroxypropyltrimethyl ammonium (HTPA) and the standard cations.
Metrohm Inline Dilution Technique – Get Dilution Factors up to 10’000 with Two Intelligent Dilution Steps
Sample dilution belongs to the laborious daily routine tasks in the analytical lab. An automatic two-step dilution offers a maximum dilution factor of 10’000. This intelligent dilution is rooted in the possibility of MagIC Net to calculate the essential dilution steps and the dosing properties of the 800 Dosino and the Liquid Handling Station. This application note shows statistical results of a 1: 10’000 dilution.
