Tosoh Bioscience LLC, a provider of chromatographic solutions for the isolation of biomolecules, announced today the introduction of a new Protein A chromatography resin designed for the purification of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). This resin is now available for sale in the Americas from Tosoh Bioscience.

TOYOPEARL AF-rProtein A HC-650F resin exhibits dynamic binding capacities of greater than 70 g/L at residence times of 5 minutes and greater than 50 g/L at residence times of 2 minutes with feed stock titers from 1.0 g/L to 10.0 g/L.

Protein A resins constitute a substantial cost in state-of-the-art mAb purification processes. Factors such as operating cycles, capacity, and mAb titer can have an impact on total costs associated with mAb purification. The high capacity of the new TOYOPEARL AF-rProtein A HC-650F resin increases product throughput, reduces operating costs and increases manufacturing productivity.

According to Chris Manzari, Marketing Manager for process chromatography media at Tosoh Bioscience LLC, “we are very pleased to announce that TOYOPEARL AF-rProtein A HC-650F is available for order today to chromatographers in need of the capacity and performance this resin has to offer”.
