Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the research, design, and manufacture of advanced technologies for the separation sciences, introduces the Presston™ 1000 Positive Pressure Manifold for 96-well plate sample preparation processing.

As an advanced alternative to traditional vacuum manifold processing, the Presston™ 1000 is designed to be the newest solution for streamlining your sample preparation process.

The system promises to provide:

  • Consistency to flow rates and therefore pressures
  • Wide applicability to solid phase extraction (SPE) or viscous sample processing and drydown
  • Effective pneumatic handling with enhanced safety features
  • Compatibility with standard 96-well plates, microelution™ plates, and 1mL tubes (with the addition of a tabless tube holder)
  • An easy-to-use interface for sample loading, extraction step tracking, and system cleaning

"With this new Presston™ 1000 Positive Pressure Manifold customers can now process a wider variety of sample preparation products and achieve more reproducible results in less time," says Jenny Cybulski, Product Marketing Manager for Phenomenex. "The ease-of-use and pneumatic handling provides a resolution for mid-sized laboratories looking to reduce variation between samples."

Presston 1000

Phenomenex Inc

Positive pressure 96-well plate sample processing with Presston 1000 offers an advanced alternative to traditional vacuum manifold processing. To offer a wider applicability, Presston 1000 is equipped for processing samples in both a low pressure setting for typical solid phase extraction steps and a high pressure setting for very viscous sample processing and for sample dry down.  In addition, Presston 1000 is compatible with standard 96-well plates, microelution plates, and 1 mL tubes with the addition of a tabless tube holder.
