Radiation protection products are constructed, as standard, from either 10mm acrylic to protect against β-emitting isotopes such as ³²P and ¹⁴C, or 12mm leaded acrylic, which is the equivalent of 0.5mm lead sheet, for protection against γ-emitting isotopes like ¹²⁵I.
