Product news

Phenomenex Inc., Torrance, USA introduces their new product portfolio for the purification of synthetic oligonucleotides, Clarity™ BioSolutions.

Clarity BioSolutions is a portfolio of products, including desalting tubes, HPLC columns, and NEW, state-of-the-art cartridges, for the purification of synthetic oligonucleotides. A variety of purification options are provided to support different purification strategies based on purity and yield requirements, throughput goals, diverse oligo chemistries, and lab resources.

NEW Clarity Triophilic™ Purification Cartridges have a specifically engineered sorbent that purifies a desired full-length oligonucleotide sequence from failure sequences and other impurities. The cartridges deliver 90-95% purity and yields using a universal, simple protocol for all oligonucleotide chemistries including DNA, RNA, siRNA, phosphorothioates, dye-labeled, etc. The innovative multi-plex format results in the purification of 96 samples in less than 30 minutes and is amenable to automation.

Clarity Oligo-RP is a line of reversed phase HPLC columns designed for the purification of synthetic DNA and RNA. The column media is based on TWIN™ technology and gives improved selectivity and efficiency. This results in 95% typical purity, loading capacity from 50nmole to greater than 5µmole, and ability to easily separate n-1mer from target sequence.

Clarity desalting tubes typically provide 70% purities and 80% recoveries in a disposable format. This product is suitable for those who only require moderate purification of their oligonucleotide or simply want to remove salt from the synthesis sample.

UHPLC and HPLCHigh performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), also known as UPLC, are analytical techniques used to separate, identify and quantitate components of complex mixtures including biological samples such as proteins and lipids as well as chemical mixtures of pesticides, drugs and oils. Both techniques are liquid chromatographic methods but differ by operating pressures (HPLC < 6000 psi < UHPLC ). Components of HPLC and UHPLC systems include columns, detectors, pumps, autosamplers and column heaters. Explore a range of UHPLC and HPLC columns for your specific sample needs including reverse phase, normal phase, ion exchange, HILIC, ion exclusion and size exclusion columns.
