Product news

The Gilson PREPFC™ fraction collector, now available from Anachem is an ideal solution that includes a three-way valve providing flow rates up to 200 ml/min.

PREPFC’S narrow footprint saves space; while allowing a large bed capacity. The flexible, easy-to-use elevating tray accommodates vessels of various sizes from 9 ml test tubes to 1 litre bottles with Gilson’s new Code 90-Series racks. Repetitive collection loops and piggybacking four PREPFC Systems is permissible with a stackable shelving system.

TRILUTION™ LC software controls of all aspects of fraction collection for the PREPFC, including creating and adding custom racks, setting the FC parameters, modes and windows, selecting user-defined collection patterns plus other features that make set up and use quick and easy. TRILUTION LC offers enhanced fraction collection capabilities specifically designed for purification and preparative LC. These include conditional logic FC; graphical FC optimization; front, tail, peak FC capabilities... and much more.

Preparative ChromatographyPreparative chromatography equipment is used for purification purposes, separating and collecting compounds eluted from a mixture which can then be subsequently used for further purposes. This can be done in large quantities or small. Preparative chromatography systems are usually low to medium pressure liquid chromatographs that are semi-automated. SFC systems require injectors, pumps, columns, ovens and detectors. The SFC retention method uses a supercritical fluid, usually CO2. There are a number of different SFC detector types including UV / VIs, ECD, mass spectrometry and fluorescence.
