Academy Savant has launched “Physical Chemistry of Polymers: Definitions and Concepts”, a new interactive e-Learning program available online as well as on CD.

This program establishes a foundation for understanding the behavior of polymeric materials. It provides an introduction to terminology, different types of polymers and methods of polymerization, their properties and measurement. Molecular weight distributions and thermal properties are discussed are discussed and explained.

Written by Dr. James E. Mark, Distinguished Research Professor at the University of Cincinnati, this module benefits from a modern user-friendly interface designed to promote interest and aid retention. It features numerous animations, hot-words, an assessment quiz with automatic scoring and revision hyperlinks, a glossary and bibliography. The customization capability on the CD version enables instructors to augment the basic content.

Combinatorial ChemistryCombinatorial chemistry, also known as combichem, is a technique used in drug discovery to create libraries of structurally related compounds. A library is generated by synthesis with a chemical reactor system or by computer-based modeling of compound combinations. When undertaking combinatorial chemistry consider reagents, buffers, resins and standards.Labware and Lab SuppliesLabware and lab supplies include various forms of glassware, plasticware, reagents and personal protective equipment (PPE) and are used across all scientific laboratories, enabling daily tasks to be performed. Explore a range of flasks and beakers, petri dishes, carboys and storage bottles. Labware such as condensers, desiccators and burettes are also available for more specific tasks. Find the best labware and lab supplies in our peer-reviewed product directory: compare products, check customer reviews and receive pricing direct from manufacturers.Medicinal ChemistryMedicinal chemistry is a broad discipline encompassing the design, identification, synthesis and development of chemicals in drug discovery.
