NanoSomiX, Inc. has announced plans to collaborate with Beckman Coulter Diagnostics to explore the development of next-generation immunoassays for neurodegenerative diseases. The collaboration aims to address the need for sensitive, scalable blood tests capable of detecting low-abundance, brain-specific biomarkers associated with neurological conditions.
Focus on brain-derived extracellular vesicles
NanoSomiX’s proprietary platform centers on EVs derived from defined brain cell populations, including neurons and glial cells. By isolating and analyzing these brain-derived EVs from a small volume of blood, the company seeks to provide access to brain-relevant biomarkers that are otherwise difficult to measure non-invasively.
