Cronus® 4mm Syringe Filters

Product news

Cronus® 4mm syringe filters are the perfect solution when filtering small samples. 4mm filters can often be used in place of larger filters and are ideal for use with sample volumes of 1ml or less (the size of a typical HPLC sample).

Larger filters are often used on samples of less than 1ml because of convenience but in reality, using a larger filter means a higher residual volume giving less usable sample and a higher cost. Cronus® 4mm syringe filters have a residual volume of just 7.5µl!

Available in the popular, Nylon, PTFE, PVDF and Regenerated Cellulose membrane types, Cronus® 4mm filters are colour coded for easy identification and can be used with all luer lock syringes.

Details of the Cronus® syringe filters and syringe options can be seen on the article webpage.

UHPLC and HPLCHigh performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), also known as UPLC, are analytical techniques used to separate, identify and quantitate components of complex mixtures including biological samples such as proteins and lipids as well as chemical mixtures of pesticides, drugs and oils. Both techniques are liquid chromatographic methods but differ by operating pressures (HPLC < 6000 psi < UHPLC ). Components of HPLC and UHPLC systems include columns, detectors, pumps, autosamplers and column heaters. Explore a range of UHPLC and HPLC columns for your specific sample needs including reverse phase, normal phase, ion exchange, HILIC, ion exclusion and size exclusion columns. Explore a range of filter formats, including filter paper, plates and membranes for your separation needs. While larger particulates may be separated by gravity filtration, smaller particulates may require additional force for timely separation. Microfiltration equipment includes vacuum filters, as well as positive pressure, crossflow and centrifugal filtration devices.
