Product news

Anachem is excited to announce a new collaboration with Innovadyne that brings together the Anachem Flexus automated liquid handler and Innovadyne’s Nano-dispenser. This alliance will provide the ultimate in Nano Liquid Handling technology with seamless integration and astounding pipetting performance. Users can now benefit from Innovadyne’s patented non-contact dispensing expertise and Anachem’s thirty five years of liquid handling experience that together provide the for-front of Nano Liquid Handling technology.

This collaboration enables the Flexus automated liquid handling platform to feature a fully integrated nano-dispenser as provided by Innovadyne. The entire system allows the Flexus to perform liquid handling at traditional volumes of 1µl and above, whilst the Innovadyne nano-dispenser controls all of the sub-microlitre volumes. Together these units can facilitate numerous applications including High Through-put Screening, Assay Development, PCR Set, Sequencing Reactions and Nano Spotting.

Innovadyne Technologies, Inc. provides superior liquid-handling instruments to lab automation companies worldwide within the HTS, genomics and proteomics markets. Its large dynamic range of nanolitre and microlitre products offers high precision, non-contact aspiration and dispensing solutions to end users. By featuring a valve-free fluid path Innovadyne's instruments create a robust and low-maintenance means of achieving assay volume reduction without compromising precision or accuracy. Researchers are then able to increase throughput while greatly reducing reagent costs.

Genome AnalysisGenomics, the study of genomes, includes functional genomics, evolutionary genomics and comparative genomics. There are many genomic technologies such as DNA sequencing of whole genomes, computational biology and bioinformatics. DNA and nucleic acids must be isolated and concentrated from cells for analysis with kits, automated analyzers and software. Other useful technologies for studying genomics include PCR, microarrays and electrophoresis.Lab-on-a-ChipLab-on-a-chip (LOC) technology uses microfluidic chips, such as microarrays, to perform biochemical assays on a small scale. Benefits of lab-on-a-chip include the small volume of sample required as well as the speed of analysis. In selecting lab-on-a-chip devices consider the assay, cost, reliability, sensitivity and signal to noise ratio.ProteomicsProteomics is the systemic bioinformatics study of proteins and amino acids, including their structure, size, function and identification. Tools used in proteomics include chromatography, blotting and gels, protein arrays, mass spectrometry and ELISA and associated analysis software. Analyzers and proteomic systems should be sensitive, high resolution, fast and may be automated for high-throughput.PCR and Thermal CyclingPolymerase chain reaction (PCR) kits and thermal cyclers are used for the in vitro amplification of DNA permitting subsequent analysis and experimental procedures. Explore a range of high-quality polymerase, primers and nucleotides or simplify your workflow with a PCR mastermix. Find reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) and cDNA synthesis kits for RNA products and libraries. Quantitatively measure the amplification of DNA with real-time PCR (qPCR) and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) kits and systems, and discover automated PCR setup solutions to increase throughput.
