Agilent Technologies Inc. has announced the EU launch of a new CE-IVD labeled IQFISH lung cancer panel for automated analysis on Dako Omnis. The new panel enables routine pathology laboratories to easily integrate fast, high-quality FISH into their IHC workflow. This allows labs to simultaneously stain IHC and FISH slides and enable multiple FISH slides to be processed in just four hours, a process that often takes two days or more with traditional FISH.

The new panel, comprising of ALK, ROS1, RET and MET IQFISH probes, was designed using the groundbreaking, oligonucleotide-based SureFISH technology utilizing formamide-free IQFISH fast hybridization buffer.

"We are excited about the upcoming probe launches for Dako Omnis," said Jacob Thaysen, president of Agilent’s Diagnostics and Genomics Group. "Agilent is committed to improving the speed and accuracy of patient-sample processing and the quality of test performance. We know that these factors greatly affect treatment decisions and patient outcome."

The lung cancer panel is the second IQFISH launch for Dako Omnis following its introduction of HER2 IQFISH pharmDx in 2015.

HaloPlex Cardiomyopathy Research Panel

Agilent Technologies

Agilent HaloPlex panels are predefined designs which focus on targeted gene sets for specific applications. Agilent offers two catalog HaloPlex panels, the Cancer Research Panel and the Cardiomyopathy panel. The HaloPlex Cardiomyopathy (catalog) is a next generation sequencing target enrichment panel designed specifically for inherited forms of cardiomyopathy. Following a careful review of cardiomyopathy publications as well as information available from GeneReviews, an NIH online resource, 34 genes known to be associated with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, and arrythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy have been included. As shown in the table below, there is substantial overlap in some genes associated with different cardiomyopathy types, and the ability to sequence all of the genes simultaneously enables laboratories to create a comprehensive cardiomyopathy profile for clinical research samples in one efficient, cost effective application.

SureSelect DNA Panels

Agilent Technologies

Agilent SureSelect DNA panels are predefined designs which focus on targeted gene sets for specific applications. Agilent offers two human panels, the SureSelect Human Kinome panel and SureSelect X-Chromosome panel. The SureSelect Human DNA Kinome panel targets a comprehensive set of kinases and kinase related genes for enrichment, targeting over 500 kinases and 612 genes. The SureSelect X-Chromosome panel targets all of the genes on the X chromosome. • SureSelect Kinome kits are available for targeting either DNA (genomic regions) or RNA (transcripts) • Efficient workflows for post-capture (XT) and pre-capture (XT2) pooling – (XT2 - pool up to 16 samples per enrichment)
