Threonine is one of the 20 naturally occurring amino acids. Kinases phosphorylate threonine to phosphothreonine which enters various biosynthetic pathways in the body. The antibody recognizes peptides and proteins phosphorylated on threonine residues within a Threonine-Proline (Thr-Pro) sequence. No cross-reaction with phosphoserine, phosphothreonine, and phosphotyrosine is observed.
