Description
Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor (G-CSF R or GCSFR) is a member of the well-characterized hematopoietin receptor superfamily1 involved in the control of neutrophil development.2 GCSFR is present on precursor cells in bone marrow and in response to stimulation by G-CSF, initiates proliferation and differentiation into mature granulocytes. A number of mutations or rare polymorphisms in the GCSF-R gene have been reported in various types of myeloid diseases, such as severe congenital neutropenia (SCN)3,4 and myelodysplasia (MDS)5
