Glycobiology

Glycobiology encompasses research into the biological functions, synthesis and structures of glycans, including glycoproteins, glycolipids, proteoglycans and free oligosaccharides. Mass spectrometers and their software are commonly used in the study of glycobiology, along with structure predicting tools, chromatography and NMR.
