"The Stirling Ultracold freezer is very effective for freezing tissue and RNA samples at -80C. It has a built in alarm that is very sensitive and alerts us to a problem if the freezer differs by even one degree. The only downside is that the handle gets loose if opened frequently but this can be rectified by periodically tightening the bolts. The freezer is reasonably priced and is aesthetically pleasing to look at in the laboratory."

Great Freezer. Worth every penny.
"The Stirling Ultracold is an excellent freezer. We have had it for two years now and it has been great for us. Keeps -70C even when I am accessing our frozen stocks frequently through the day. It is also very quiet as well. Our maintenance department likes that it uses less power than a standard freezer. I would recommend this freezer to all labs."
