"The Qiagen RNeasy Plus Micro Kit is the best method to extract difficult tissues like the brain or pancreas. Fatty tissue in particular can lead to a lower yield of RNA because the silica membrane clogs or inhibits the binding of the RNA. However, the Qiagen RNeays kit leads to reliable and stable RNA yields without inhibitors. Especially if you only have little brain tissue, it is recommended to use this micro kit. In addition, the handling is very understandable and easy. The extraction time is also moderate. Furthermore, the gDNA Eliminator columns have an advantage over other manufacturers. We got perfect results with Whole Transcriptome Shotgun Sequencing. A clear recommendation for this Qiagen product."

"Overall, this kit is excellent, producing high quality and quantity RNA extraction from your rodent brain samples (and I believe, other sample types too). The kit is simple to use and the sales team offer phenomenal support to ensure you are using it as optimally as possible. All experiments are expensive, but this kit does have a relatively high price tag, but at least you do receive a high quality product with world-leading support. I strongly recommend. "

"There are cheaper options out there, but the QIAGEN RNeasy Plus kit gets reliable yield from small amounts of tissue with every use. The lipid kit works great with brain, while the Plus kit is perfect for many peripheral tissues such as spleen."
