Good but expensive

Average Rating 4.3

Application Area:

Analze oxygen content in solutions

Very good equipment, very accurate and reliable, easy to use. It is very expensive, and the cost of the each sensor is high, while the lifetime of the probes has been reduced since the previous generation.

Great piece of equipment, makes obtaining live data easy

Average Rating 4.7

Application Area:

Measurement of oxygen tension during ex-vivo organ perfusion

Great piece of equipment. Very reliable - generates reproducible results, and sufficiently robust to be re-used as appropriate (within lifespan) within a laboratory setting. Ability to record live data via analogue-out is also extremely valuable.

Application Area:

Assess Tumour hypoxia in mouse models

Great product! A little fiddly to begin with but soon got the hang of it. Customer service (from Petra) was exceptional - always happy to help and give advice.

Neurosciences

After purchasing the Oxylite Pro we have now run first tests. As expected due to the new field and sensitivity of oxygen measurements, the method takes extensive time to be set up. The after-sales support by Mrs Mayr is exceptional however, and due to the great support and invaluable experienced-based advice , we can now be confident that the method is working reliably and reproducibly. Oxygen is a sensitive and difficult field of research but the Oxylite Pro is a highest-quality, very direct measurement that- also when comparing to current possibilities for oxygen measurements- I feel most comfortable working with and with my results. An important methodological contribution to this field. Special thanks to Mrs Mayr for the great support!

Analysis of spinal cord oxygenation and blood flow

We have been working with Oxford Optronix for almost a decade utilizing their Oxyflo and Oxylite systems together with the combined oxygenation and blood flow sensors to study spinal cord hemodynamics after SCI. This system gives us consistent high-quality data for our research. These fantastic instruments are backed by an incredible team of people, both on the sales and service side - by far the best company I've dealt with in my 20 years of research.

Excellent equipment backed by a wonderful company.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Measure pO2 in blood/tissue

The results we have obtained from both of these devices and their corresponding probes have been very reproducible. The equipment is easy to use and maintain. A lot of our studies focus on oxygen delivery in small and large animals and this equipment has allowed us to obtain critical data in our studies. Any time we have had questions or project ideas, the team at Oxford Optronix has always helped us come up with practical solutions.

An excellent product, not matched by anything on the market, enables unique studies.

Application Area:

Long-term measurement of kidney, brain and liver tissue PO2 in conscious sheep

The monitor - easy to use, clear output on screen and reliable. Oxygen probes - the probes give consistent reliable measurements over days. I would be happier if the probes lasted longer. They can often be used only once or twice, which make experiments expensive, especially if one is using multiple probes.

Reliable and easy to use oxygen probe system.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Tissue and fluid oxygenation

Oxylite is very easy to use and has shown to be reliable in its measurements. We always finish by exposing the probe to ambient air and the readings are very consistent with only a slight decrease towards the end of the probes lifetime.

Good results, easy to use and great service

Average Rating 4.7

Application Area:

Measurement of local oxygen in brain tissue

We use this device in combination with implantable optic fibers that allow local oxygen measurements in the (delicate) brain areas we're interested in, in parallel with electrophysiology. Results have been great and the ease of use of the OxyLite is outstanding. The device and fibers are costly, yet for our needs (minimal invasiveness, flexibel, suitable for chronic recordings) the investment is worth it. Lastly, Optronix's service is great.

An excellent instrument for anyone performing hypoxia work.

Average Rating 4.7

Application Area:

Analyze dissolved oxygen in cell cultures

The Oxylite is easy to used and gives accurate information about the levels of dissolved oxygen in buffers, solutions and cell cultures. It is a very useful piece of equipment for cell biologists interested in the impact of levels of atomspheric oxygen on the growth and behavior of cultured cells.
