Good results, reduce homogenization processing time with improvement of surface
Application Area: Nerve Tissue homogenize and following RNA work
"Overall of shape and function is reasonable. Tube and pestle shapes are perfect match. However, if the surface is not smooth, it might be helpful to grind nerve tissue"

Great tool to rapidly extract proteins from tissue samples.
Application Area:Preparation of mouse tissue samples for Protein extraction
"Very easy to operate and a very small benchtop equipment. It takes a while to adapt current protocol to maximise extraction, however, guidelines for each tissue type are provided. Overall, it is a useful tool to have."

Useful and very friendly machine
Application Area:tissue homogenisation
"Very easy to use. It is possible to select type of homogenization, but volume of tubes is not too big. "

Perfect for working with tough to lyse samples and getting consistent results
Application Area:Processing of human tissue for DNA/RNA extraction
"Machine is well worth the price for low-throughput applications. Much easier to work with compared to other homogenization strategies"

The Minilys allow us to performed new experiment that couldn't have been done before in our lab with our classical preparation of homogenates
Application Area:Reproducible homogenization of muscle samples for quantitative western blot analysis
"We have planned to analyze a specific protein in mouse skeletal muscle to study the effect of a treatment. We had about 50 samples to analyze, and the protein is sensitive to proteolysis. Thanks to the MiniLys it has been possible to performed this experiment and to produce high quality homogenates, without degradation. We can have performed the quantitative analysis and show a nice kinetics of degradation of our protein due to the treatment of the mice and not to the processing of the samples! "
