Made our routine lab life easier!

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Polymer grinding

We purchased the A10 Basic Milling tool to grind our own polymers. Some of them are quite hard, and others are sticky. We have used the milling tool to grind both, and even fluffy polymers, and it works great! Made our life so much easier, as sometimes we need thin powders for our work. We also immersed our polymers in liquid nitrogen to grind them while frozen, and it works even better. Fantastic little addition to our lab!

Good laboratory grinding mill. Like a cleanable coffee grinder.

Application Area:

xrf sample preparation

We use the tube mill to grind filled polymer samples in preparation for pressing pellets for xrf. We use the disposal grinding cups to eliminate time required for cleaning. The disposable cups are pricey but enable us to have high throughput sample prep

IKA introduces the world's first disposable grinding system for safe, instant and precise milling results. Its unique and compact design makes the unit space saving and ultra-portable. The disposable grinding chamber eliminates the possibility of cross-contamination and saves you cleaning costs and time. Convenient and safe to use while assuring high safety and reproducibility to cover a broad range of applications. The ability to cool the sample with dry ice expands applications tremendously. During development of the mill, particular emphasis was placed on user safety.

Disposable and reusable crushing systems

In this product brochure, IKA demonstrates its available range of disposable and reusable crushing systems. For applications where cross-contamination between batches is a risk to analysis results or leads to a painstaking cleaning process, the disposable systems offer unique designs and patented technologies for contamination-free results with minimal operator effort. Depending on the application requirements, users can decide whether they need to strictly avoid cross-contamination and therefore dispose of the vessel after use, or go for the reusable option to make laboratory processes more sustainable.

Criminal Investigation - IKA® Make Forensic Identification Safer and More Efficient

In modern judicial proceedings, the forensic investigators are frequently using medical technologies to analyze human body, corpse and other substances that might be related the legal cases. For example, in the cases of poison-related deaths, they need to identify whether the death was caused by poison, what kind of poison it is, and the quantity of poison content in the body. Hence a comprehensive analysis needs to be carried out and accurate & precise identifications are supposed to be provided to these queries afterwards.

IKA Tube Mill Control Batch Mill

The Tube Mill control from IKA is a batch mill with disposable grinding chambers. This avoids cross-contamination and eliminates the need for cleaning. The grinding chamber and the cover are made of transparent material to allow observation of grinding tests at any time. The IKA Tube Mill control can be used for grinding hard (up to 5 on the Mohs hardness scale), brittle and dry materials. This batch mill is particularly suitable for grinding seeds (e.g. maize or wheat).
