Great price, but after a year or so you can see why. Almost every single channel pipette we have bought from them (around 15, of various size/volume) has broken within 5 years of purchase. Not worth it, would avoid.

Molecular biology
The first thing that springs to mind is that the pipettes are the Eppendorf-type. Most pipettes on the market are Gilson-type, which means they also have the negative aspects of Gilson-pipettes. In contrast to other pipettes in our lab, the ErgoOne pipettes have an easier moving piston (which is more friendly to the hand) and a tip-dispenser, which stays where it should, even if many samples are pipetted consecutively. They are also quite stably-built. The volume-setting mechanism is very reassuring, as a set volume is locked automatically by pushing the piston. All in all, I am very fond of the starlab ErgoOne pipettes and have recommended them to others.
