"It is quite easy to use. We use it for checking slides for in situ hybridization. Nikon can meet our need for repairing and so on. It is worth to have such a microscope in molecular laboratories. "
With its robust performance, bright and sharp optical system, flexible stratum structure and motorized options, the Eclipse Ni-U is the standard model in Nikon's advanced upright microscope series. It can support a wide range of observations, from clinical examinations to bioscience research.
The structure enables optical paths in two tiers, providing complete flexibility with efficient system configurations and custom combinations according to application.
A choice of stackable turrets is available for epi-fluorescence – manual, intelligent and motorized. The Ni-U offers high intensity 100W illumination with built-in fly eye optics for even illumination and further superior optical performance is ensured through Nikon’s CFI Plan Apochromat Lambda series objectives. Those objectives have a remarkably high NA and greatly improved transmission in the long wavelength range thanks to Nikon’s proprietary Nano Crystal Coat technology, and chromatic aberration correction from 435 nm to 850 nm, and are suited not only for bright-field and DIC observations but also for fluorescent observations. These lenses allow bright and clear image acquisition for a broad range of wavelengths from visible light fluorescence to near-IR imaging. Their high-efficiency transmission means minimal excitation light can be used to reduce photo-damage to specimens.
Transmission and chromatic aberration correction have been improved throughout the wide range of visible to near IR wavelengths (950 nm), allowing use of various fluorescent reagents. They provide bright, high-contrast, high S/N (signal-to-noise) ratio, multi-colour fluorescence images with almost no focus shift when used with any wavelength. Four new nosepieces include an intelligent sextuple DIC nosepiece option.
The Ni series is a robust, expandable and futureproof solution for wide range of observations.
