Making cosmetic products
The IKA overhead stirrers are very versatile. I use them to make emulsions, surfactant-based products and other solutions for cosmetic purposes. The impellers are easy to attach and remove for easy washing - and there are a variety of impellers that can be used. There is a wide stirring speed range, suitable for low, medium and high shear, and the rpm is shown on a small screen. I particularly like the facat that the rotating button used to adjust the speed is a bit stiff - this makes it harder to have sudden changes in stirring speed, which cause accidents or unwanted results, e.g. foaming.
