Biostep GmbH

On 1st June 1997, the company of biostep GmbH was established.

The company is a small middle-class company and has its seat in Jahnsdorf/ Saxony. We have a trade area of approximately 350qm.

The main focus of the activities of biostep GmbH is in the area Bio-Imaging (1D and 2D-electrophoresis) and in the area Bio – Computer science. Another activity area is the radioactive and analytic measuring technology.

Over the last years, the following products have been developed:

• UV and Blue Light transilluminators (254nm, 312nm, 366nm, 480nm)
• Bio-Imaging-Systems

• Development of a software structure for the comparison of RNA-expression patterns with Protein/Proteom-Patterns

In the area of 'Bio-Imaging' a market segment for digital consumer cameras could be open up in cooperation with the company OLYMPUS Optical Co. (Europe) GmbH, Hamburg.

The developed systems were predominantly introduced on the German market and also distributed there.
