Andor Technology plc (Andor), a world leader in scientific imaging and spectroscopy solutions, are pleased to announce the launch of the latest upgrade to their acclaimed ‘Revolution’ range of microscopy systems, the ALC-500 Solid State Laser Combiner.

First introduced by Andor in 2005, the goal of the solid state laser combiner technology was to introduce a product with a small footprint (physical, electrical and environmental), and modular design for flexibility and best-in-class performance. This latest addition, the ALC-500 series, builds upon the specifications of its predecessor and now offers up to 5 solid state laser lines.

Energy efficient, the fully loaded combiner consumes only a few hundred watts and operates in a standard laboratory environment. It covers the visible spectrum from 400 to 650 nm, which makes it an ideal source for applications such as Photo-activation, Confocal and TIRF Microscopy. With our MPU (multi-port switch) Andor laser combiners offer unique possibilities as core components for multi-modal microscopy systems.
