Application Note: Separation of Structural Analogues: Vitamin D2 and D3
15 April 2015
Vitamin D2 and D3 are indirectly involved in a number of biological functions in the body, including bone metabolism and enhancement of intestinal absorption of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate and zinc. Separations of structurally similar compounds such as vitamin D2 and vitamin D3 are very challenging. This application note demonstrates that the YMC-Triart C18 ExRS is able to separate these two compounds with a resolution of Rs = 1.59 under the same conditions.
