Optimize Analysis of Polar and Coeluting VOCs in Whole Air Canister Samples Using an Rtx-VMS GC Column

11 Sept 2017

Laboratories that analyze volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in whole air canister samples often follow U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Compendium Method TO-15. As a guidance document for a performance based method, method TO-15 give scientists considerable flexibility in GC column selection, both in terms of dimensions and stationary phase, providing a critical opportunity for optimization. In this application note, a number of GC columns are evaluated for their suitability for analyzing VOCs in whole air canister samples.
